Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) is 1 of the 3 federal programs managed through the Express Entry system, and its main objective is to assist skilled workers with foreign work experience to immigrate to Canada permanently.
To be eligible, one must meet all the minimum requirements mentioned below.
Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) Program Requirements:

Proof of language proficiency CLB 7 in all four skills.

Canadian secondary or post-secondary degree, or a completed foreign credential and an Educational credential assessment (ECA).

1 Continuous year of full-time (1560 total hours of 30 hours/week or equivalent*) paid work experience in the same job within the last 10 years in a TEER 0, 1, 2, 3 (formally NOC 0, A, B).

Proof of funds for the applicant and accompanying family.

Score a minimum of 67 out of 100 points on the six selection factors.



Final process before being approved for Permanent Residency:
After being selected from the Express Entry Pool and awarded with an Invitation to Apply (ITA), the candidate and their dependents will have to take part in two screenings, a medical examination to prove that neither the candidate nor their dependants are medically inadmissible and a background check/security clearance to prove that neither the candidate nor their dependants are criminally inadmissible.
